Fullmoon at a beach, which still bears the heat of the Caribean day, the bitter-sweet memory of a past love, a rumcocktail, to cool the passion and the heat of the past day for a short moment. A couple dancing in the dark corner of an empty bar, having forgotten time and place. All this is Bolero, his essence. A music which joins the taste of exotic flavours with the passion of people that dance away the sorrows of their daily lives.
Since the start of his career in the middle of the 1980’s Tizian Jost performed in the piano trio. The piano trio in Jazz is somehow the classical format. One may compare it to the string quartet in European Classical Music. Double Bass and Drums are not mere accompanist but rather instead dialogue—or better triologue—partners.

Feindsender is a series of concerts that remember the persecution of this musical culture by the dictatorship of the Nazis. In collaboration with the European foundation Europamusicale and the NS-Dokuzentrum, the Munich documentation centre for the history National-Socialism various topics are portrayed with background information presented by various journalists. The ensemble consists of students of the HMTM and guest artists.
What happens when four musical globetrotters get together to pour their decades of experience in the most diverse genres, formations and contexts into sound? Even though they grew up in different parts of the world, Tizian Jost, Jimmy Weinstein, Lilly Santon and Urs Johnen have a lot in common. They share a passion: music that appeals equally to soul, mind and body. Their roots lie in blues, rock, Brazilian Bossa Nova, European classical music and Latin American folklore. The Southbound Jazz Quartet carries the sun in their hearts and jazz originals and standards in a basket full of warm feeling.
